Winter Garden Metal Roof · HOMEOWNER GUIDANCE

Do you need HOA approval, a permit, or both?

Your HOA may review appearance while the city or county handles building permits. Some properties may need additional local review. Ask which steps apply to your address; completing one does not automatically complete the others.

What this means for your project

Start by confirming the authority for the address. Winter Garden’s Building Division provides its current online process and points owners toward planning and zoning for relevant questions. Properties outside City jurisdiction may need Orange County resources instead. If the property may be subject to historic or other special review, ask the responsible department whether it applies before assuming ordinary appearance choices are unrestricted. Obtain current association instructions separately when an association applies.

Roofing words used here

Jurisdiction
The city or county responsible for permits and inspections at your property’s address.

Questions worth taking with you

  • Confirm City or County jurisdiction for the property.
  • Ask whether any special review applies to the proposed change.
  • Gather association requirements separately if applicable.
  • Record who is responsible for each unresolved step.

Which authority has answered each approval question?

Use your roof style checklist to record the details and unanswered questions. The result is available before you decide whether to contact EaseRoofing.
